Customer Review: light weight, efficient, and a little noisy

This product is easily moved around, as it is light weight, and fits the window , very well, as it has an adjustable side. The main negative I find, is that it is noisy. It has a loud "whinney" type noise. So, if you're going to use it to bring in the cool air for just a while, then turn it off, it is great. However , if you are going to allow it to stay running while you sleep, it may take some getting used to. All in all, I find it efficient and an inexpensive way to cool the room or several rooms. It works just as easily as an exhaust fan, when turned around.Customer Review: It turns. It moves air. It's a fan.

This little twin window fan will move quite a bit of air. Just set it in the window and pull out the expandable sliding accordion-style fitting. There's an extra piece of plastic to fit on the other side of the fan for wide wide windows. Just turn the fan around to reverse the direction of air flow.
Runs great. It may not last forever (my little Holmes desk fan just gave up the ghost after 20+ years, bad wire and no way to get inside to repair it), but at the price it's no big deal.

My wife and I are smokers but do not like our home to smell of smoke. I bought this fan and installed it in a window by our kitchen table. I installed it in our storm window so when we are not smoking I can close the inner window to keep the cold from coming in. It does have its limitations; we must sit at the table for the fan to exhaust the smoke but that's not a problem. Holmes 7 Twin Window exhaust fan is exactly what I had imagined for a $16.99 fan. Simple functions and compact size that fits my window. The noise may be a little loud and 3 feet wire may be a little short. Most houses don't have outlets near windows so extension cords may be a must have accessory. The bottom line is, it is the most inexpensive fan I can find that fits my window and it does the job.Customer Review: nice unit

This is a good unit for the price. I bought a pair, partly for when I don't want to run the A/C during the summer and partly because I like to have a cigar and don't want to always go sit outside and have one. What little time I've had to use them, they do a good job. They are a little loud on high, but I can get over it. I don't have any real complaints about them.
