I've owned my machine a little over a year. It works great at keeping the air moist. I live in Arizona and the air is so dry. The filter, on the other hand, don't last long enough, but if I want to use the machine, I have to buy them. I agree with the other reviews, the filters did seem to dry out pretty fast, but they seem to last longer if you keep the machine running continuously (24/7). Now I only use one filter, instead of two. It's been working just fine and my filters last a lot longer.Customer Review: works fine but...

These filters work fine; but my humidifier that these fit use two filters - why on earth is this a set of 3? Why not a set of 4 - strange. I seem to fly through them also - which I'm not sure is a result of the humidifier or the filters - but it's already telling me to 'replace' the filter and I didn't buy these too long ago. I guess it's ok since I'll have another full set after purchasing another box but strange way to package them, they should consider a redesign!Customer Review: rinse before first use

These work great. I didn't rinse these before inserting into my bionaire tower humidifier and within 20 minutes or so, my entire apartment started to reek of foul-smelling chemicals. After thoroughly rinsing, the smell went away. I did notice that these filters catch more minerals than the bionaire filters that came with the machine, so I will have to replace these more often. Be careful about letting the water run dry in the tank; it seems to ruin these filters.Customer Review: a little deception

The product quility seemed good, but the advertisement said it was two sets of filters. My unit takes two filters each so I assumed I would get 4 filter units. I only recieved 2. They are calling a set, 1 filter. I didn't look to see if the quanities were correct on the advertisement.Customer Review: hard to find

these are very hard to find for the old bionaire humidifier. Once they put out new models I guess the old ones are forgotten. Amazon was one of the few places I could get it so I bought extra. I guess they don't expect anything to last more than one season.
