sadly, my dogs have for some reason chewed thru the wires and i got mine for $25 at Lowes last year while now they show on Amazon for $55 but this little heater is great. i can keep my heat down on 66F and put this in the living room to knock the chill way off. i usually have to point it AWAY from me! i just hate to spend over $50 when i got it for half that during the winter season... and here it is summertime...Customer Review: Great Floor Heater!

My husband recently retired and is actively working in his garage. As a civil engineer he had this product in his trailer, and welcomed its heat during the cold, rainy winter days. I surprised him by getting this for his garage to keep him warm on those chilly days. The heater is very user friendly, easy to turn on and off. I did a search on the web before making the purchase. This one is ranked the highest for a small room heating needs. I use this for my office which has a ridiculous A/C system. The heater works vey well and meet all my expectations: small, quiet, quick, automatic off when reaching the target tempreture, and with a decent design! This is a great little heater for the price. I works well to heat my bedroom. It even works well on the low setting, which is unusual. I does make a little rattling sound when starting up, but after that it is quiet. I like the upright configuration; less likely to trip over it in the middle of the night. I purchased this heater in October 05' to help heat a drafty living room. The heater worked great and then after having it for 6 months and running it all the time except when we weren't home one of the elements went out on it. I called Holmes and they sent me a new one right away for just the cost of shipping no questions asked and no hassle.
