Holmes Energy Saver Heater FanWeighing only 3-1/2 pounds, this compact heater/fan can go just about anywhere. Use the fan setting to cool off rooms on hot summer days, and the heater on chilly days. With the Heatlogic system, the heater can be programmed to turn on at a particular time, such as just before you get up in the morning, or to turn off after a certain length of time. An LCD digitally displays the time of day and the Heatlogic time (set with the hour and minute buttons), as well as the temperature, which is set by turning the dial on the side of the case. Choose between low (750 watts) and high (1,500 watts) output. The electronic thermostat maintains a steady room temperature; if overheating should occur, the heater instantly shuts off. Measuring 11-1/2 by 9 by 5 inches, this powerful but quiet unit can sit on the floor or a table. Holmes provides this heater with a five-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

I bought this heater last year to keep heating costs down in my house. What's great is that you can program the heater to come on at any particular time, for up to 60 minutes. I love to do this before I get up in the morning and have it take the chill out of bedroom and bathroom. Or you can program it to come on when the temp drops below a certain degree. Which is good if you have in-door animals and you have to leave overnight, you don't have to leave your house heater on, you just need to know when it gets coldest in the house, and set it to heat the room at that time. My only complaint is that there is a battery slot, if the power goes off or you move it to another room, it keeps your settings right, but not the clock.
