You get what you pay for. This is actually a pretty good wall lock box for the price. Sure, if you had tools you could probably bust it open without the key. But it would take a little time and make noise so it might be enough to stop a burglar... and it will definitely stop your kids!
Easy to install - if you know what you're doing. Make sure you don't try to put it in a location where wires or pipes are in the wall. Just find two studs, and cut out in between them. Bolt it from the inside, that's the only real security bolts. The outer screws are just for stability and looks.

very ez to install. came w/ extra bolts to srew in studs. either face mount them, or for more security, screw from the inside . 2 keys. very sturdy box. install time for 1st one 20 min.....2nd one was 10 min......i bought one for each of my 2 teens who have had other friends get their money stolen by "friends" who come over for visits. hid in closet studs behind clothes. 16" on center perfectly. they could have included a template, but i just traced the back onto cardboard and transferred. a GREAT value for the low $$$$.Customer Review: Great for hiding

This safe is great for hiding behind a picture or artwork on your wall. Perfect if you have kids and do not want them to be in danger or asking about what is in that safe you have under the bed or in the closet. My sutds ending up being 19" centers so tilted the safe upright (so the door swings top to bottom) and used a metal bit to drill my own holes along the one side. It works great. Couldnt be happier with the size and weight. You cant fit too much in there but it does the trick. Would buy another.

This product installs easily, is well packaged, and practical for its displayed use. It will keep a handgun out of the hands of someone who you don't want to get it (children, burglars, houseguests, etc). While it is not necessarily a "high-security safe", it does what it is made to do, at an inexpensive cost.
