This was a good purchase at $30 to $40 cheaper than similar products. It does exactly what I want and so I am happy. It is perhaps not as solid as the picture might imply. It is made of brass but the sheeting is relatively thin (what do you expect for less than $30?) and it would easily dent if subjected to rough treatment. Mounted on the front of my house it does fine. Mail is retrieved by opening the lock at the right hand side. The right hand side is a hinged door.
