My wife and I got one of these fans on the cheap from our next door neighbors' yard sale. I think we spent $15.00 on it. Once we plugged it in and turned it on, we couldn't understand why they sold it! This fan blows so hard that when we put it on our linoleum floor and turned the fan on high, it blew itself across the floor and unplugged itself! Yes; it is inconvenient not being able to take the blades out for cleaning, but that is the only negative thing I can say about it. Just take it outside and blow it out with compressed air. Canned air is okay, but an air compressor is best.Customer Review: great fan if you dont mind the noise

I recently purchased this fan as a replacement for my vornado. When compared to my vornado I feel that this fan moves as much air but definitely isn't as quiet. While it's not as noisy as cheaper box fan alternatives I don't recommend using it as your bedroom fan while trying to sleep unless your used to the sound. The fan itself looks very well made and has an extremely solid feel to it. I have had this fan for a little over a year ago and am still as happy with it as the day i got it. If your looking for a decent priced fan that can move alot of air this is it.Customer Review: Great fan for what it is... powerful yet compact...

It's a good product. Works well. Only complaint is that the adjustment knob is difficult to operate. Seems stupid right? You have to push down to turn it (otherwise it turns without changing speed... seems like some weird child safety feature, don't ask me). However, when you push down, unless the fan is facing directly forward, then you invariably push it into a new position...so, you basically have to turn is on, then angle it, then face it forward again, then turn it off. I minor annoyance, that is all.Customer Review: Quiet, good power, good value.

I picked up my HF810 at one of the local Amazon assocites to replace an old box fan that had just given up the ghost. What a difference! This fan moves much more air with a fraction of the noise. The adjustible floor stand makes it easy to aim the fan without leaning it up against a chair or some other precarious pose. Pointed upward, it moves air as well as a ceiling fan.
It's not perfect, but for the money it's a very good value. I plan on buying a second one soon.
Customer Review: Not a Vornado, but gets the job done

This fan is neither as powerful nor as quiet as the Vornado fan it tries to imitate, but compared to some of the other fans on the market today, the Honeywell Mega Turbo is pretty darn good. It moves an impressive amount of air, is solidly constructed, and comes with a reassuring 5-year warranty.
UPDATE: I just discovered that this fan cannot be taken apart for cleaning. I would change the rating to two stars if I could.
