Customer Review: Nice fan ...except....

I bought this fan to replace the same model that had gotten fried from a power surge/lightening strike. After setting it up I realized that the frequency the fan's remote works on is the same that the frequency of the remote control for my TV. Whenever I press the volume button on my TV remote - it turns the fan on and changes the speeds on the fan. Needless to say this has been very annoying and I have to make sure either the fan isn't plugged in when I don't want to use it OR that I don't use the remote anywhere near the Fan anymore when I am using the TV remote. This is annoying to say the least. I assume they changed the frequency of the remote on the fan since I purchased it the last time a couple of years ago. This fan is really nice if you are looking to move a lot of air in a fairly large room. It is loud as many people have pointed out but you have to expect that from a fan this size. The "Breeze" function is kind of annoying as the fan speeds up and down it doesn't give you a chance to get used to the constant fan noise. The remote is pretty light and feels a bit fragile but it is nice having that controls everything except the oscillation. The big selling point for me is the metal blade cage. It is sturdy and should be able to withstand a tip over. The plastic ones will break with a fall and are hard to clean.Customer Review: Serves the purpose

Its a pretty good value for money. The 3 different speeds is specially good and meets to different needs. This was delivered on time and nicely packed. Assembly instructions are simple and straight forward.
The connection between the two rods could have been little firm, some time it feels as if it may break (just the feel). I have a a bit high bed so would have loved if the fan height was another 3 inch more. Overall its a good deal.

Great fan for the money. Love the remote control, turn fan on/off, change speeds from across the room. Just the right amount of noise for sleeping. Only negative is that the breeze feature has a harsh start up, but not enough to be annoying. I would definitely recommend to other people. Was told it would not be shipped for at least a month but was able to get within days of ordering.Customer Review: Cool is Cool

Since my mother has a Honeywell fan, similar to this one, I felt I couldn't go wrong in the purchase of the same brand. All others have not lasted but a couple years. Her's has been going for about 5 years and is still running strong. I would highly recommend this brand to all my friends and any one else who asked for my advice on the purchase of a fan.
