I have numerous airborne allergies. Perfume is one of the worst offenders for causing an allergic reaction for me. I work in an office setting and it is difficult to avoid perfume, flowers, paper dust, etc. I was getting tired of missing work due to a severe allergic reaction so After reading the reviews, I ordered this last week hoping that it might help clean the air space around my desk.
I received this air purifier last night, and brought it into work this morning. Following the directions, I set it up and plugged it in. I have a 6 x 6 cubicle without a door so I wasn't sure how well this would work. It is sitting on my desk about 16 inches from me and after only 6 hours it has made a big difference. Of course, I will only run it during the day when I'm here as I am using it to purify the air in my immediate vicinity. I like that I can adjust the fan speed -- low, medium, and high -- as when I need to talk on the phone I lower it to the low setting. When not on the phone, I can run it on the medium setting. I am also using the ionizer.
The only problem I have with mine is that the night-light switch doesn't work so as long as I have the purifier on the night-light is on. Not a big deal for me as I'm not trying to sleep at my desk!

This little piece of heaven is truly a life-changer. I've had it for 5 days now, and I am replacing my Ionic Breeze from Sharper Image with this model. The difference is so amazing that I wish I had switched a LONG time ago. My bedroom is 150 square feet, quite a bit larger than Amazon states this unit is meant for. Well, believe me, it's working. And if it's working in my 15x10 bedroom this well then I'm sure it'll work in any smaller rooms.
I enjoy the white noise when I sleep. I sleep with the "Sounds of the Ocean" as-is, and this little machine is drowned out by my system. But, it is LOUD. Even on the lowest of the 3 settings you can hear it clearly in a bedroom when you're going to sleep. If you want something quiet then this is not the machine for you. But hey, remember, if you want something to work this well and be small then you're going to have noise. Period. I've tried a lot of theses little suckers, and this is the best. It absolutely blows the competition out of the water by so much that I'm finding it hard to believe it isn't secretly drugging me with Happy Pills. I'm extremely allergic to pet dander, dust, even cologne, and I have never slept better than the past few nights. I can't give this a higher thumbs up!

I had this for several months now and it seems like a great little air purifier. I have not had to clean it yet and I keep 3 of them running almost all the time. By the way..I'm a smoker, but alot of people I know are not! One by where I sit in the Living Room. one by my PV and one on the night stand on my side of the bed. My Mom and girlfriend really don't like the smell of smoke and have alittle bit of asthma, but when I'm smoking by one of the machines....they say they really don't notice it. As far as picking up dust and other odors...I can't really tell myself since I do smoke and my nose is shot...but others say it smells better and they can breathe better...so they must be working? A little noisy even on low....but I can live with it. Like I said..I haven't had the light come on to clean the filter yet...so will have to wait and see, and my place is dusty. The reason I really bought these to try is because you NEVER have to replace the filters...just clean them and like I said...I've had them for about 3 months and haven't had the light come on to tell me to clean the filters? By the way, it does have a nice little green light on top that makes a nice low light night light...so Thumbs UpCustomer Review: Love it! Great price & does a great job!

This is a fantastic air cleaner at an affordable price.
I house-sat for some friends and they have an air cleaner. After a few days, I noticed I no longer woke up stuffy. After returning home, I browsed Amazon for an affordable unit for my apartment. Based on the reviews, I got this Honeywell and I'm thrilled with it.
It sits on my nightstand but doesn't take up too much room. Sometimes if I'm listening to something on my laptop and can't hear well, I will turn the air cleaner down but usually I keep it on max. It does make a sound like a fan, but I like that noise, especially when I sleep. It has 3 settings and the lowest is very quiet.
I love that I will not have to buy replacement filters for this also. One of the filters is like a flat piece of foam; the other is similar to a car's air filter. I have already pulled the foam piece out and pulled all the dust off of it. This machine works! I also like the separate switch for the ionizer.
We are two people in an apartment with 2 cats and a smoker. This air cleaner has been fantastic. I have it in my bedroom now and am thinking about buying another one for my son's room.

I have other ionic air cleaners, as well as one that requires a filter. This air purifier is quiet and due to its compact size, can be placed off the floor on a bookcase, dresser top or top shelf which makes it optimal for space-saving and placement. I don't particularly like the noise from air filters and they have a tendency to keep me up.
After spending many dollars on replacement filters and new air cleaners when the filter is no longer made or easily available, this is a welcome addition with a permanent cleanable filter. I bought two of these, one for my bedroom and one for the living room. Set on low all of the time, it is great as it just sounds like a little white noise and is not noticable most of the time. The optional ionic on and off switch, night light, as well as the automated light indicating that the filter should be cleaned is a BONUS besides the low price. So far, I am enjoying cleaner air in an old dusty house with 3 cats and 2 dogs...
I have bought the Sharper Image ionic breeze for the bathroom and find it hard to clean and hope that when I have to clean this filter. Good value for the money.
