My boyfriend plays hockey and stores his gear in our spare room. This would not be a problem if the spare room didn't also double as a guest room. Who wants to smell sweaty hockey gear when they're trying to sleep? No one.
This air purifier takes care of the smell without taking up a lot of space. The "high" mode is a little noisy, but if you like sleeping with white noise in the background (like I do) then it's not a problem. Or you can just put it on a lower setting. The ionizer does a good job of getting bad smells out of the air. The unit lets you know when it's time to clean the filter, so there's no need to guess. And since the filter is cleanable, you don't have to waste money on replacement filters.
All in all, a great product for the price.

I read a number of other reviews about this unit having some quality issues but decided to risk it. I'm glad I did!
I live in an older apartment complex, which means that dozens (maybe hundreds?) of people have lived here before me.
Bought this to freshen up the stagnant air and it does a great job. It cleans and purifies the air very well.
As far as the others who had issues, the unit comes with a giant red piece of paper in the shape of a stop sign saying
"Questions? Concerns? Please do not return this product to the store. Contact KaZ Consumer Relations - We Can Assist You! [...] - So there's no reason for someone to gripe in the review section without having done that first.
Highly recommended.

My neighbor's tobacco smoke seeps into our apartment and for fear of it affecting my 2 kids I really was looking for an affordable but effective air purifier. I got one for each of the kid's rooms hoping they would do the job, but prepared to be disappointed because of how little I actually paid for them. I will just say I was very pleased when I used them for the first time. It is a very effective purifier and has a great and surprising output. It seems to clear each room (10x10) of the odor easily in well under an hour. I actually can't believe I got them for this cheap. If I needed more I wouldn't hesitate getting these same ones. Not to mention I'm gonna save at least what I paid for each one by not having to buy $15 filters every 3-4 months.Customer Review: Love this!

I've had my air purifier now for about 2 weeks, and what a difference it makes in my quality of life, and quality of air.
I bought this because I am unable to open my bedroom windows due to the presence of 12 dryer vents (from my building's laundry room) being about 3 yards from my windows, and expelling steam, fiber dust, and fragrance virtually 24/7. I have plenty of fresh air elsewhere in my condo from windows that I can open, so the bedroom had become something of a dead air space.
The Honeywell HHT-011 makes the air in my bedroom smell fresh and sweet. I am sleeping better and feeling better overall. My bedroom is about 14' x 22', and this size works perfectly.
Great product. I highly recommend it.

Very small and quiet but good enough to filter a large bedroom and take away my allergies. I was able to run it every night for about a year before the filter needed cleaning.
The lowest setting sort of goes "whoom whoom" and the highest setting is a bit loud, so I like the medium setting. Also the ionizer makes a clicking noise that some people might find annoying, but I don't really use that function much since ionization doesn't really do anything (from what I've read).
You should mainly get this for the low cost and permanent HEPA filter. It is great for allergies or breathing problems at night, and the noise it makes is soothing. I looked into ozone generators but read they can be bad for your health. Hope this helps.
