We had a brief "Hot Spell" this summer & my brother had prior purchased one of these units for his home & recommended this product to me. I placed it in the upstairs window of my two story house in my pet Bengal Cat's room where it was getting quite warm. Now it is nice & cool much like I have an air condition unit at the fraction of the cost! I would highly recommend this unit to anyone suffering from the heat & to keep your pet's Happy & Cool during this global warming spell. I will be purchasing several more of these units in the near future both for my other rooms within my house & for my Business to keep my Customers Cool & Happy as well! Thank You for inventing such a GREAT PRODUCT as this one is!!!!!!!! and for making this available through Amazon.com!

Of couse the quality is great, built like a tank and I'd like to point out to those who may have not thought of it... it has no lights! Great if you want to use it in any room where you might be SLEEPING!
The quality is unmatched... I knew that when I purchased my first Honeywell fan for summer camp 16 years ago... this is my 3rd (the first is still kicking just fine). I have the floor fan, its $9 mini and now this great window fan. Built like a tank out of what is really good quality plastic, I'm very happy.
Id like to see it with a lower low setting, in black, and a bit quieter but since there are no black window fans in the market and it kicks the crap out of other fans on the other two points I will be keeping this baby till Honeywell makes a newer one :)

I bought two of these window fans to help eliminate the cigarette smoke drifting into my apartment from the apartment downstairs. I leave one in the kitchen window to exhaust and move the other to intake fresh air between the two bedrooms depending where it is needed. The fans work great keeping fresh air moving through the apartment and taking the cigarette smoke out. Because of the rain resistant motor covers I even run them when it is raining as long as the wind isn't blowing rain directly at the windows. I should have bought these first before I went crazy buying air purifiers (not really effective) and trying to caulk and seal every little crack between the apartments. I also don't have to run the a/c as much which keeps the electric bill down. Definitely recommend this fan.Customer Review: A little loud, but GREAT air flow!

This fan really pushes the air through! Good thing it has it's adjustable direction vents! The round grate in front of the fans rotates, and is angled a little. Does not seem like much, but it does noticably change the direction of the air flow!
This window fan does, however, make a good hum throughout the room/half the house when running on high. It is a bit loud. It has gotten the nickname, "Bee Hive" in my house. However, I run it in my room while I sleep to cool the house, and I can get to sleep with it. It is more of a low drone, rather than a racket, so if you can sleep with steady background noise, it should be fine.
I really love this fan, it works great, and runs strong!

This is a beautifully made, sturdy and powerful fan. Really kicks out at even low fan speed. I had a holmes that didn't do as well on high.
There is some noise involved but I find it to be a rather pleasant "white noise" sort of situation.
Now as to the "fatal design flaw" one person wrote about
The dimensions are clearly stated (24.1 x 6.5 x 12.6 inches). I have a standard window and this fan presented no fit problems whatsoevever. It fits very nicely in the gap between the inner windowsill and the screen (yes, the screen is still in) . I adjusted the sides before I put it in the window....no big deal.
I would recommend this fan to anyone. I couldn't be more pleased
