When the Hoover shampoo was not available, we tried another brand (They're all the same, right?). It did not clean as well as Hoover's soap. Considering the reasonable price of the machine and how long the shampoo lasts, this is a very good combination for keeping rugs and carpets clean. I have owned a Hoover carpet cleaner for over a year know and it works great. I came with a gallon of the Hoover Deep Cleansing Carpet/Upholstery Detergent and the combo works great. Have not had a spot that has beat me. For difficult spots I have a small bottle that I have put this in full strength and pour it on the spot and let it soak before I use my powered cleaner.Customer Review: Clean and Fresh

I purchased this with the Hoover SteamVac machine and am very pleased with the product. Leaves the carpet fresh and clean and when it dries it feels great under your barefeet!!! No over powering smell or thick residue like from other products I have used. This liquid soap for your Carpet Cleaners works GREAT...Seemed to really work much better than the Non Name version at the Hardware Store. Your carpet is as clean as your detergeant. I'm not sure how to rate a cleaner but it works. I used a new carpet cleaning machine with only this product and got better results than renting machines with store bought cleaners on the same carpets. I would buy it again for sure. Shipping cost hurts so if you can combine orders do so.
