I used the Hoover Deep Cleansing Carpet/Upholstery Detergent in my new Hoover steam cleaner. I had previously rented cleaners from Lowe's and Giant and bought whatever detergent went with the machine. My carpets were always pretty clean after using the rented units, but my new Hoover and this detergent definitely got them cleaner. The spots that had been in the carpet for years even came out. It also got out the pet odor from the two dogs in the house without creating a wet dog smell while the carpet was damp, as the rented unit and detergent had done.Customer Review: It Cleans

I bought this cleaner because I did not want to continue renting a rug cleaner and because I cannot afford to hire someone to clean my carpet and furniture as often as needed (once per year). The hoover did a very nice job cleaning my carpet. The carpet dried quickly which was very convenient. I look forward in using the furniture accessories because that is where I anticipate the greatest savings. I am very glad that I bought this cleaner.Customer Review: Pleasantly Pleased

The Hoover "deep cleansing carpet detergent" is good for moderate dirty carpeting. However, the Oxy cleaner is great for all around wine and food stains and moderate cleaning. Easy to use with the Hoover Steam Vac All Terrain cleaner.Customer Review: Dog bile, removal!

Bright yellow bile is the worst stain to get out of a carpet. However, after scrubbing with the smaller hand shampooer, and using this cleaner full strength, it finally came out. Harder than I though it would be, but worth the effort.
