Customer Review: Just as good as the All Terrain but for less $$$

I borrowed my friends Hoover All Terrain and loved it! I wasn't expecting much from a home cleaner when I normally have a professional once a year. Well I loved how well it cleaned and that you can see the gross dirty water after it was sucked back up. So I was so fascinated by hers I researched online and narrowed it down to two Hoover products - The All Terrain and this Steam Vac Dual V. The All Terrain was a lot more ($60) expensive even though I didn't see any difference in the product descriptions on Hoover's site (amps are the same, brushes are the same, and they both do carpet and hard floors, etc). This product works just as well as the more expensive All Terrain and does a great job for home use and saves you money.Customer Review: Works Great

I saw the product at a retailer, then saw it priced less on Amazon (plus no tax or shipping), so I said what the heck, try it. I have a medium-tan carpet and two dogs and two cats. The cleaner was easy to assemble. All you need is a phillips screw driver. I'm not to swift at using carpet cleaners, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy to use and it REALLY WORKED!
One of the attractive features is the large waste tank. It allows you to cover allot of area before stopping to empty it. Also, the vacuum really sucks up the water/cleaner solution in the carpet, the carpet dried really fast. I wouldn't hesitate using it the same day if I were hosting a family get together. I highly recommend this SteamVac.

Comparing this to the Hoover I had for 9 years I can say I am happy the motor blew on my other. ;-) This unit is lighter, thus easier to carry up/down the stairs. There is also no leaking where as my prior Hoover did, nor does this leave streaks on the carpets. The unit seems to hold less waste water but I choose to look at this as a positive. It makes me clean it more often where I admit I was lazy with the old one.....
This unit also extracts more water from the carpets and dries much much faster! I also like the ability to rinse and am seeing a softer feel to the floors.
Great machine and loads of benefits. 2 thumbs up from this 3 dog, 2 cat household.

This is the second Hoover carpet cleaner that I have owned and they have made some great improvements to the newer version. The greater width helps speed the cleaning process and the side brushes pull the lint out of the edges of the carpets. The only negative I continue to have is that the dirty water tank does not balance itself when full and if you are not very carefull it will spill some of the dirty water on the way to the sink for emptying. Other than that I fully recommend this product. Many vendors I visited and spoke with stated that the Bissel machines tended to come back for repairs and adjustments but they seldom saw the Hoovers again.Customer Review: love it

Had a Hoover rug shampooer before and after several years the motor went. I looked around to find the right one and after several months of looking I purchased another Hoover from Amazon. I am thrilled with this shampooer. I have a puppy and with that comes little presents on the floor. He has a favorite spot and the stains were beginning to get out of control. I was sure that I would need to replace the carpet but when I used the shampooer the stains were hardly noticable. I waited a few days later and repeated the process and this time all the stains came out. Needless to say I am a happy camper.
