Customer Review: Best hand held vacuum for a quick clean!

My kids know I got them with this one! Now I can handle all the crumbs that never seemed to stop falling off the dining table and finding their way to my carpet. I did my regular steam cleaning of my carpet with my bigger Hoover before the holidays and this smaller Hoover S1120 has been helping it to stay clean. It picks up ALL the crumbs even the ones on the table! The spills are not spared either. I love this baby Hoover just like I do the bigger Hoover steam cleaner.
This Hoover hand held vacuum is light weight just as I wanted it. The noise is low too, so that I can use it even when my little one has fallen asleep on her high chair, without waking her up.
This is a great buy if you want your bigger cleaning job to last.

We got this little vacuum for our wedding over two years ago. We have used it a lot and have been very happy with its performance. We have used it to clean up dust and hair cut clipping to kitty litter and concrete pieces. Recently the battery won't hold much of a charge. I was looking into getting new batteries, but the batteries are half the price of the vacuum, plus I would have to solder them together. $15 for batteries and an hour of my time would make it cheaper to buy a newer, even more expensive one. (If you would like to replace the batteries in your, they are "sub c" cells 1.2 volt. Make sure to watch out for 1/2, 4/5, etc sizes, they aren't the same). In the long run we will probably end up buying this same one again.Customer Review: Perfect for parents of a toddler

I use this every day because I have a toddler who likes to drop pieces of food all over my house and car. I took it right out of the package and used it, it was already charged.It works very well. The suctioning power is great. It sucks up Cheerios, peas, spaghetti, my coffee grounds, leaves and misc crumbs. It doesnt have a light to show it is charging and it wasnt great at sucking sand off his car seat, and it won't fit those Gerber "puffs" inside the nozzle, but it is so powerful for everything else, that I will overlook those things. I use it on my boy's stroller and his high chair and they are spotless. It does everything I need it to do and I wish I got it sooner. Five stars.Customer Review: Awsome!!

I bought this vac to replace one that I bought at a garage sale for [...]. (The original didn't die--it just got messed up in a utility room fire.) I also bought one for my mother because I was so impressed with my original one. I was afraid the new one just wouldn't be the same because mine was an older model. I was thrilled when I used it for the first time. It's even more powerful than my original. I love everything about it, but a great feature is that you can wash the filter. I washed my previous filter numerous times with no damage. The only thing I must admit: I rarely use it for a wet spill, so I can't comment on that aspect. Would I buy it again? This vacuum makes cleaning very easy...don't have to worry about wet surfaces in the kitchen and stuff since it is a wet/dry vacuum
Suction is pretty OK considering its size and battery lasts a good 10+ mins even after several months of constant use...that's pretty impressive!
Since it is a wet/dry vacuum, it is a good idea to clean the dirt holder every now and then (especially if there's higher usage on wet surfaces).
The holder comes apart pretty easily and can be cleaned pretty easily (I use a bottle cleaner brush)
