My wife had an old model Hoover Hand Vac for about 8 years. It finally died and I tried to replace it with the old model. I couldn't find it so I bought a Black&Decker. My wife hated it! Too big and too noisy. I ordered the Hoover S1120. I love this little hand-held vacuum. It's lightweight, has good suction, and it holds a charge between uses. I don't leave it plugged in, as I've heard that it is a heavy energy user. So I just recharge it as needed. I've used it for both wet and dry pickups, and it's done fine. Also used it successfully to suck up a bug I didn't want to deal with.Customer Review: Great for clean up after the kids

This is a great hand vac for cleaning up the crumbs after the kids are done eating. It's easy to clean with it's washable filter and has good suction. My only gripes are that the opening is a little small and a skittle will not fit, but a cheerio will. This is a powerful vacuum. It's a little loud, but if you want a vacuum that can pick good the noise come with it. The only problem with it is there are no attachments for special pick ups. It has a large dust/dirt filter so you don't have to clean it in short times. It's what I've been looking for.

I love this thing, and I am not one to use a hand vac because it seems more convenient just to vacuum everything with the big vacuum but I'll pull this thing out before the vacuum. Some people say it's loud but with all that power of course it has to be a little loud. I love it! It cleans up everything.
