This Windtunnel Canister with its powerful 12 amp motor is the complete canister for all your cleaning needs. The 15" Power Nozzle with Headlight has Windtunnel Technology to pick up all the deep down dirt in your carpets. It also has brushed edge cleaning which allows you to get right up to the base boards. The handle is D-shaped for more comfort and it also has a Brush Roll on/off switch so that you can turn the agitator on or off, to go from carpets to bare floor with ease. The wands are telescoping with quick release. No need to bend down to disconnect the Power Nozzle. On the canister itself there is a Variable Speed Suction Control with an LED indicator so that you can always see your level of cleaning at a glance, taking the filtration is HEPA and the Electronic Full Bag Indicator lets you know when your bag is full at a glance. Takes the guess work out of changing the bag. The hose swivels 360 degrees for ease in cleaning. The Automatic Cord Rewind makes cord storage easy and out of the way. Customer Review: Great vacuum for a good price.

I bought this vacuum - not on amazon though - after doing a thorough research on the matter. But the more you read, sometimes, the more confusing the info is. Anyways I finally decided to give this one a try and I did not regret the decision in the 3 months I have had it! With our old upright it is always a pain to do the steps in our house, this one makes it easy and I personally do prefer this kind of vacuum compared to the heavy and hard to maneuver uprights. Before giving this one a try I had a smaller canister, that sure was easier with the steps but suction wasn't as good as this one and I hated the mess you had when emptying the canister.
Overall - for our house - this to me is the best solution: we live with a lot a paws (big dog with sticky short hair, short haired cats, long haired cat etc.) and we have tiled floor, carpet and wood floor on different levels. There is an accessory for the tiled and wood floor and on carpet the motorized beater bar comes in very handy. My husband thinks the handle you move it with is too big, but I do not have an issue with that. When I use the motorized beater bar, I do turn down the suction level a few notches (at least on rugs), since the beater bar picks up the hair and other debris, there's no need for the suction level to be that high anyways. If you don't do that and use it on a rug that is not attached to the floor, then it might actually pick up the rug from the floor (due to the combined strength of beater bar and suction level), I look at that as a good thing though and not as an issue and prefer to take the suction level down when I do my rugs and they are clean when I am done. Also the plastic hose did tangle up on me once, but that - in my opinion once again - is a matter of handling the vacuum, if you pull it with you as you go (instead of expecting it to "turn on a penney" and then go the exact opposite direction as before) it works just fine and there's no problem. I did have an issue with the belt coming off the beater bar - but yet again - that is because of our carpet fraying on the edges in some places and every once in a while threads are tangling up on the beater bar as it turns and block it, so naturally the belt comes off. Problem is easy to fix: 4 screws and all is clean (taking it apart and putting it back together doesn't even take 5 minutes) and back to work. Prices on replacement bags are okay, easy to order on amazon and easy to empty and replace without a mess.
Great suction, handling for a vacuum that size is really good, love the feature to release the hose that connects to the beater bar, down by the head of the bar, love that you can switch the beater bar on and off up by the handle and you do not need to bend down for that, all the small accessories are stored inside the vacuum and are not in the way. In a nutshell: if you are on a budget and looking for something good this is the one to buy! Sure you can have better quality, "not cheap looking" for a lot more money. But frankly it does not look "cheap" to me, you get what you pay for and I think this is getting you a long way for the budget!
