We bought this vacuum because it was the only one Consumer Reports recommended. (November '09 issue I think) It has been over a month and so far I love it. We have a cat and a dog that both shed entirely too much. This vacuum works great on the pet hair and the kid messes. I've used it on wood floors, carpet, and furniture. The unit is heavy, so I wouldn't recommend carrying it up and down stairs. But, I think because of its weight it pulls me through the house, even though it isn't supposed to be self-propelled. I'd say yes! Before I bought this nifty cleaner, I HATED vacuuming! I always bought the small vacuums assuming they would be easy to push around. Then I met Mr. Hoover Windtunnel. When I first plugged this guy in, I was surprised by how easy it was to push! Then I discovered the indicator light that tells you which areas need more vacuuming. Boy, did my living room need a vacuuming makeover. Also, this guy is amazing in hallways, nabbing all that lurks on the sides of your walls. It's worth the price, most definitely, and my entire attitude towards vacuums has changed!Customer Review: Powerful vac

I just bought this vacuum to clean my house after our other vacuum stopped picking up dog hair. This Hoover WindTunnel is so far amazing. I have an Eskie and this vacuum picked up hair I couldn't even see-- the floor looked clean but it kept picking up dirt and hair! The sensors are great. I feel like I live in a whole new house!
While I have only used the vacuum on the entire house once, at this point I would recommend it to anyone who has pets and really wants their floors clean! Not only does my house look clean, it FEELS clean.

Wife's vacuum broke and it was about 4-5 years old. Looked all over for the reviews for a replacement and Consuemer's Report listed this one as very good. Then, I looked for the best price and availability. Amazon had free shipping and no state sales tax plus the best price of all. Have had this vacuum for 6 months or maybe more now and it cleans great. The only problem was a belt that broke and K-Mart has these in their store two for $3.75 or so. Bought two bags or four belts. Took 10 minutes to replace. Very happy with the product.Customer Review: Awesome Hoover

I purchased this vacuum from Amazon as I do with most of the stuff in our house. I love the brand Hoover. I had the Hoover W2 I think it was lime green and white and OMG it was heavy. That vacuum did clean well but at the price of a sore back. I replaced it with this newer one and am totally satisfied. It is light weight and self propelling which really is an awesome feature and I like that I can empty the canister after each vacuuming and don't have to wait a month or two. In conclusion, "What are you waiting for just buy this vacuum".
