It's a nice box, but I guess I didn't correctly interpret "flap lid". The lid is attached, so you don't have a non-lid option. Also, it's too flimsy for holding much other than something fabric. But it's classy enough to go inside the closet or on a shelf (if you are flexible about your box color). It's a great size for normal shelving.
