Here's a laundry hamper from WHITNEY DESIGN(#2203) with "real" character - Dottie "The Laundry Lovin' Lady Bug" character. Made from durable nylon with a wire frame, this hamper literally "springs" open, has a lid designed to look like a lady bug, and would make a perfect addition to any kids room. In the open position, it is 18" in diameter and 22" high.What child wouldn't love Dottie, "The Laundry Lovin' Ladybug"! Swing back the yellow lid and the ladybug 'eats' dirty laundry or toys, keeping a room neat and turning what could be a chore into fun. The lid, with its friendly grin, pop-up eyes and antennae, swings forward again to hide the contents.
Made of durable nylon with an internal steel frame, the hamper comes in the flat storage position, secured with toggle buttons. Undone, the hamper springs into its full 18-by-22-inch cylindrical shape. Two cloth-tape handles make carrying the hamper easy. No assembly is required, and any sticky finger marks can be wiped off with a damp sponge. The red base features black dots and yellow 'feet.' --Ann Bieri

Customer Review: sorting clothes is fun

I bought this hamper and the lion hamper. They are both adorable. They are just as pictured -- really cute! Kids and kids at heart can now enjoy sorting the laundry by feeding these cute characters. My system is Ladybug only eats delicates, while Lion eats jeans, tees, etc. I was a little concerned carrying one of these full of heavy jeans up/down the stairs, but so far so good. A longer strap would have made it easier than the two handles. For going back and forth to the laundry room, there are better choices, but nothing beats these for the fun factor.
