I BROUGHT THE WHITNEY CLOTHES TREE BECAUSE I OWNED ONE BEFORE. THE LAST ONE I OWNED WHICH I USED 3 TIMES A WEEK TO HANG OUT OUR FAMILY WASH LASTED ALMOST 8 YEARS! (WOULD HAVE LASTED LONGER BUT KIDS ARE HARD ON THINGS) SO I KNEW WHEN IT WAS TIME TO REPLACE IT I WOULDN'T GET ANY OTHER KIND. UNLIKE THE ONES IN THE LOCAL HARDWARE/HOME IMPROVEMENT CENTERS THIS ONE IS HEAVY DUTY AND HAS MORE LINES FOR DRYING SPACE. THE STEEL ARMS ARE STRONG AND IT GOES UP AND DOWN EASILY. Recently a wind storm dropped a big tree limb on my clothes dryer and made it so "tipsy" it wasn't usable any longer. After searching the web I found this Whitney 4000 dryer . The price is right, shipping timely and set up (according to my cousin) easy. The hardest part was digging the hole to set the dryer in and waiting for the cement to dry. It was easy to erect following the directions that came with it. We had owned a different style similiar to this one before.

For over 50 years, we have had a portable outdoor clothes drying line that is supported on a single pole. Ours finally died and we went to Amazon.com for a replacement and found one that is better than the old one that we had used for over 50 years. We are very happy with the new one and expect it to last forever. Easy to assemble, sturdy enough to hold and dry a comforter, rugs, sun pillows.
I love this and so does my electric bill.
Save yourself some money. Freshen up your quilts, bedding, etc.
Bring all that free smelling fresh air into your home with your clothes.
