Tools and Hardware Reviews of Howard Leight MAX1 Earplugs Uncorded NRR33 Box/200 Count

Customer Review: Comfort and quiet
Summary: 5 Stars

The earplugs are amazingly quiet. I wear them when I ride my motorcycle. I can easily wear them for hours. I gave a set to my Harley-riding buddy an he was amazed. He immediately for another pair so his wife could also enjoy them.

I wore them one night while I slept in a noisy environment a few weeks ago and I enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep without any ear discomfort.

The easiest way to put them in correctly is to roll the middle and top sections while leaving a small ball on the bottom and slide them right into your ear canal.

I have put a few pairs in my motorcycle to give to my friends.

Customer Review: Great earplugs as expected
Summary: 5 Stars

Testing these out with other ear plugs and over-ear protection that offers the almost the same noise reduction, these work just as well.

When testing, make sure that they are squished down tight enough to fit into your ear.

Sometimes it takes a little practice, but once you find the right fit, they work well.

I like that the plugs have an extended edge to help keep them in better. Compared to other ear plugs without this feature, is really a plus for these plugs.

They do seem ever so slightly larger than the other ear plugs I've used, but they still work fine.

Customer Review: Far and away the most comfortable
Summary: 5 Stars

These earplugs are a little tough to put it because you have to roll the tips very tightly to get them to slide into the ear canal, but once they're in, they work and they are amazingly comfortable. I use them for noise when I am trying to study (very effective) and for my partner's occasional loud snoring and I find them to be far and away the most comfortable of all the ones I've tried. Not quite as effective for snoring as the wax ones, but they also don't stick to your hair and pull it out like the wax ones do. Also, the only ones I've used that do not irritate the ear canal after being left in for a long time.

Customer Review: Among the very best.
Summary: 5 Stars

I work for WSDOT and they issue the exact same type of earplug which inspired me to purchase a couple of boxes for myself. I found that the most important thing is to insert them *quickly* after you've rolled them down with your (clean!) fingers, otherwise you may not obtain the best fit. Also, they can be a tad large if you have smallish ear canals. But these things do an OUTSTANDING job and I have never used a foam plug which works as well as these.

And they are very cheap insurance on comparison to losing some, or all, of your earsight.

I would very highly recommend these to anyone.

Customer Review: Excellent, cheap earplugs.
Summary: 5 Stars

I've tried many different earplugs and these are simply the best. Correctly fitted* they are comfortable and offer high levels of attenuation. I bought them for shooting and they are so effective that I now rarely wear earrmuffs. Although they are 'single use' I find I can get many days use before they get too gunky. Also great for motor sports, travelling and a good nights sleep. Buy in bulk and look around for the best price. At around 16 - 18p a pair they are a bargain.

*(roll plug, insert, hold finger on end of plug until they have fully expanded).
