Boveda's 2-way humidity control is the only technology that can be pre-formulated to a specific humidity level with an accuracy of +/-2%. Boveda guarantees a constant level of humidity that never fluctuates or cycles. It also eliminates bacteria, mold or mildew. You will never have to use distilled water or PG solution again. Use one packet for every 50 cigars your humidor can hold, plus one additional packet (for example, use 2 packets for a 50 cigar humidor, 3 packets for a 100 cigar humidor). I've tried just about every product ever for cigar humidification and this is the easiest, most reliable method I've encountered. If you have a leaky humidor you will need to add more than the recommended number of packs, and they will have to be replaced earlier. But even in a leaky humidor (like mine) they keep the humidity within their stated 1-4% points. I finally ditched the leaker and have my cigars in a large, leak proof, Pelican case and the humidity has stayed a constant %71 with two 72%-packs and two 69%-packs in the box. These are especially nice for truck drivers and people who travel with their cigars because they don't leak. I had some Drymistat tubes and the caps would pop off whenever I drastically changed altitude. I was worried that these would leak or burst but I've taken them from 300ft to over 10,000ft with no problems.
These even control the humidity better than my Cigar Oasis did. If you're going to use these in a wood humidor then you have to make sure that it's properly seasoned first (just like with any other device). These do what they promise, if you're having problems it's probably your humidor leaking.
