I've gone though a lot of humidifiers, both hot and cold. Most of them either stop working after a year or two, or get so corroded or mildewed that you have to get rid of them. The Hunter humidifier doesn't corrode or get mildew, you can wash the pieces, especially the Permawick filter in the dishwasher, it lasts over 48 hours of constant running on high (over 72 hours on low), and has a nice little blue light that lights through the water, which gives a nice softening touch. I've now gotten one for each bedroom in my house, and am extremely happy with this product.Customer Review: Hunter Carefree Plus Humidifier

I have three of these in use during the winter. My serious sinus conditions require that there is sufficient humidity in the air. The Hunter's work just great...very efficient, quiet and easy to maintain. One added bonus is the lack and any white coatings on furniture items. We have tried many other products that leave a "chalky" white coating in the room on everything! Plastic parts are anitmicrobial, but you do have to rinse it out after each fill, because we don't know what is REALLY in our water. Parts go in the dishwasher and others just need a damp rag now & then. It is the best I'v had and I run it every day for the winter months. Im on my second one now & hope to be able to purchase another one in a couple of years,if this one konks out. It is worth the price! I'm much healthier with it!Customer Review: Great Humidifier

Ordered a Hunter humidifier much like this one before. Wanted another one. This model works well. Yes, it is a bit noisy, but it does it's job well. It puts water into the air!! Nice filter design, does not need replaced.
Nice tank, easy to fill by taking it (the tank) to the sink or bathtub. Overall, nice design.
