This fan arrived in the nick of time to triple digit temps in the LA area (no air conditioning). It's extremely heavy which I wanted, makes a slight hum which I also wanted as white noise to help me sleep, and really moves the air. I only had to have it on the medium setting. It really kept the air moving and was especially appreciated during the worst of the fires in the area as the windows and doors had to be kept shut.
