Tools and Hardware Reviews of Husqvarna Rancher Chain Saw - 20in Bar, 3.4 HP , Model# 455 Rancher 20in.Customer Review: Husky- wouldn't be with out one Summary: 5 Stars
Seen the other review and had to post.
I have timbered over 100 acres of 90 foot trees up to 30 inches wide with my Husky and never had a problem.
That includes cutting the logs down to firewood, and bucking the timbers to size for the lumber yards.
the 485 rancher is husky's biggest saw before going all pro.
With the extra wide chain it makes for a sturdy chain which is critical when using a skip link chain.
The 485 will cut through any timber even iron wood with a skip link like a hot knife through butter.
i also take care of my equipment like a Marine takes care of his weapon.
other than regular maintenance and changing out the bar and chains this chain saw has been a dream
and with a normal less aggressive chain my 12 year old son was able to use this saw like a pro under
supervision of course. even after all teh work we have put our saw through, it still starts with just one
pull and still has the power of the first day out of the box. Easy and reliable enough to even climb with it
although it is heavy and not meant for climbing-- i would recommend a lighter saw or even a Poulon for that.
Remember any chainsaw is teh most dangerous tool invented to be used by the average
person and pro alike.
