The night before the first day of school, I hid this under the pillow of my teen who is a VERY heavy sleeper. It woke her immediately. She jumped across the room to get away from it! While I don't necessarily recommend the surprise tactic, it is VERY effective!Customer Review: So far, so good.

I received my vibrating alarm clock last week. I have been using it ever since and had no problems. It works the way it claims to and is easy to use. Once you set the alarm, if you leave the cover open the alarm beeps, and if you keep it closed it vibrates. It is a little noisier than I expected when set to vibrate, but my husband has not been awakened by the sound thus far which was my goal in ordering this product. The only complaint I have about it is that when you press the buttons to snooze or program it, they make rather loud beeping sounds.
Update: This item completely died on 7/5/09, not quite a year of use. I tried changing batteries, reset, etc. to no avail. I liked it while it worked and didn't really expect it to last more than a year.

This is a great little alarm clock for a good price. The only big annoyance is the it beeps loudly whenever a button is pressed (which can defeat the whole purpose of the silent alarm)!Customer Review: Vibrates and generally meets the purpose.

Bought it not to wake up my wife in the morning.

- Beeps very loudly when you press any button (i.e. if in the middle of the night you want to open the cover to check the time you might not be able to do so w/out waking up you sleeping partner.
"Wish list"
- The beeper could be turned off.
- the level of vibration could be regulated.
- the snooze button was outside (not under the cover), so if you are to snooze the alarm you would not have (while still asleep) rushly attemp to open the cover and press any buttons to snooze it.
Two month since I bought the A/C we are still using it and my wife is slowly getting used to 'filtrate' the vibration as it is not a call for her.

We bought this alarm clock when our daughter was born so that my husband could wake up for work without waking us up too. It serves that purpose. It has a sort of cheap feel too it. Every time you push a button it beeps so that is annoying. My daughter broke off the battery panel in the back when she was quite young. It's cheap but it does the trick. The vibration is enough to wake you up.
