This product is terrible. We have season tickets to the KC Chiefs and spend many fall/winter Sundays outside in the elements tailgating and watching football. I got these to help keep our toes warm, but it made no noticeable difference. I used Lithium batteries (they take 4 AA for the pair), thinking they would work better and last the whole day, but sadly, that was not the case. The completely drained the Lithium batteries and provided no noticeable heat in my boots. A thick pair of hunting socks is a better investment, or those disposable heated insoles. Either one would work better than these battery powered insoles, and would be a lot cheaper than all the batteries you would run through these.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!

When I first plugged in my Cozy Feet I thought it was broken. There was simply no detectable warming. I bought another one hoping it was just a lemon. But the second one was the same way. After trying it several times I finally detected a faint, and I do mean faint, warming of the pad. I had to hold it in my hand as I plugged it in. Only then could I detect a change in temperature. I kept one and returned one. I've installed them in my ski boots. I have very low expectations when I finally hit the slopes.Customer Review: Wire housing split open, shorted out against my leg. First time I wore these hunting, the wire on the left one split open and shorted out. I noticed a burning against my leg, and realized the battery pack was getting extremely hot. Took a few moments to access the unit to turn it off. Rechargeable batteries have expanded slightly and the wrapping on them is split.
Sent back for refund. Also, the insoles only get slightly warm, doesn't help when the ambient temperature is below 20. Going to stick with hand warmers in each boot.

I ordered these foot warmers because my toes get cold and numb very easily in cool temperatures. The battery packs that strap to your legs were awkward and bulky and quickly slipped down my legs to my ankles as I walked. I felt some warmth when I first plugged the "cozy feet" in, but could not detect any heat a few minutes later. I returned the item to Amazon for a full refund.Customer Review: twenty dollars wasted

this is the only item i ordered from amazon that has dissapointed me. i work outside in all types of weather and these are a big dissapointment. they do not get hot like the manufactured stated and i really feel bad since the manufacture is located in my city.
