Tools and Hardware Reviews of Intermatic HA06C Indoor Wall SwitchCustomer Review: Bittersweet Summary: 2 Stars
If it wasn't for the vendor being very helpful they would have been on the curb in Tuesday's trash.
1 of 3: Worked intermittent, turned on randomly, had to return
2 of 3: The 'toggle' switch below the main switch is flimsy and faulty. If I keep it hard in the on position it causes me no grief. I've learned to keep it from being an issue, but regardless it's still defective.
3 of 3: Works perfect, zero issues, very happy.
Replacement: Same as #3
Reaction time is a little slow for a z-wave device, even when you use the physical switch.
I'd recommend them for rooms that are not priority that you still want z-wave capabilities or I wouldn't recommend them at all. With my experience the reliability isn't there from one switch to the next.
Honestly, spend the extra on Leviton. Guaranteed to work, better design and quality and no hassle.
Customer Review: Not all it could be Summary: 2 Stars
Needs more parts to work properly. Try Leviton series, but they have issues too. Need to decide what you really want before spending the time and money.
Not ready for Prime Time.
Customer Review: Does not work with fluorescent lighting Summary: 2 Stars
The product listing fails to mention that this switch can not be used with fluorescent lighting. There is also a 40 watt minimum load that it can control.
Customer Review: Failed after 6 months Summary: 2 Stars
I question the reliability of this item. It seems that other reviewers had similar issues.
Customer Review: Fire Hazard Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased 4 of these after previous success with the plug in modules. I too found out the hard way that they do not work with CFL's. So I put in regular incandescent lights and 1 hour later I heard a pop and smoke started pluming out of the switch. I switched off the breaker and double checked the wiring. My wiring was fine but the switch was burned up internally. I promptly replaced and returned all 4 switches. If I hadn't been home it could have set our house on fire. I still use the plug modules with no problems but am leary about in wall modules.
