After reading the reviews I wasn't sure if I should order this light set. However, the price is fantastic and I have heard good things about Malibu from other websites so I gave it a try. The lights arrived yesterday in a very nice box. I was happy to find the parts all organized and packed with care. I set up an assembly line on my patio and put all of the tier lights and flood lights together within an hour. The directions could use some help but to be honest, I just used the picture to assemble everything. I set out my lights, clamped them to the wire, buried the wire and pushed the lights into the ground. Easy stuff and they look very nice. I replaced some of the really old Malibu metal tier lights that came with the house and I like the plastic better. I'm 100% happy with this set and I'm thinking about getting another for adding lights to the front of my house. What a great deal!Customer Review: Malibu lawn lights

I replaced a 15 year old set of Malibu lawn lights with an almost exact replica new set. Outside of having to assemble the wires into each socket, test each with a bulb(tedious)and then lay out the 100 feet of electric cable to determine where the lites would go, they installed nicely and the light sensor on the power pack makes it nice. No resetting the clock. They just turn on when it gets around dusk. One of the spot lite lenses arrived cracked. I called Malibu and they shipped me 2 new ones at no charge.Customer Review: These are perfect!!!

My only complaint could be too many lights? I didn't use them all. This set is great, effective as landscape or security lighting. Simple to use with a fool proof on/off timer. Very economical. Nice weather proof design. A bargain!Customer Review: good for backyard

just a quick review: the lights were easy to assemble, but because it's so many, it took about an hour. None of the plastic parts were broken or in bad quality unlike for some other reviewers.
With 100feet the cable is actually pretty long, but the first light has to be at least 13ft away from the transformer, so keep this in mind when thinking about the layout.
Also, everything is plastic, so it's not as nice looking as other metal lights, but serves its purpose for the backyard.
Another fact to consider: This transformer doesn't have a timer, it has the light sensor, so when it gets dark, the lights go on. There is actually the same set available with a timer instead. Or you can just buy one of those cheap timers and plug it in there.
Last, the lights on these will be nicer and more consistent than solar lights, especially if they are under bushes or anywhere solar lights won't get enough light to recharge.
