This works very well, and I needed something that would handle a new fluorescent bulb as the electronic timers do not work with these. This does, and does have the battery backup I wanted. Fits easliy on the nightstand near the bed, and most likely will order several more.

First one ordered didn't keep time accurately. Good ol' Amazon works like a charm though!!! 5 stars! I returned it and got a new one immediately! Now it works fine. Just as described. Nothing too amazing though. I use it as an alarm since it is really dark outside in the winter and it helps wake me up. However, it would be cool if it slowly dimmed the lights on and off.Customer Review: Works Perfectly

This product serves the best purposefor me. It turns on the light and wakes me up in time for my job. I have used other appliance timers but they are not precise, as this one is. It has 2 settings so when I am not going to work....I can change the time easily. Really good product if you need precision timing. Thanks a bunch...Customer Review: Lamp Timer
