Description of Intermatic TN711C Security Timer
Automatically controls lamps & appliances. Variable settings turn on & off. Standard on/off settings. Plugs into wall outlet. Heavy duty capacity.Designed to provide safety, security, and convenience, the Intermatic random pattern security timer comes with two on/off settings and turns lights on and off at slightly different times each day. A 15 Amp capacity controls lighting and there's a manual override on/off switch for added safety. For added convenience, the timer plugs directly into the wall outlet, and comes with non-removable trippers. The timer is backed by a 1-year warranty.

Very basic timer. Works as advertised. My parents have a simliar timer built on the same winding clock mechanism and it's been working for 30+ yrs. I think it's better than the ones you need to replace a battery.
