A double faced adhesive tape for keeping rugs, mats, carpeting in position. Handy for hanging posters, mounting photographs, repairing books, holding sandpaper to sanding block, plus 101 other uses for holding two surfaces together. Adheres to concrete,wool, paper, plastic, tile, fabric, foam, linoleum, etc. Strong adhesive, easily removed from heavy release liner. Vinyl tape will not rot. I live in an old house with all hardwood floors, and I love area rugs. Have tons of them. But rugs have nearly broken up my marriage in the past. My husband would threaten to nail them to the floor because they moved so much, even with EXPENSIVE grippers underneath. This tape was my last effort, and it's one of the best things I've ever spent money on. I've had my rugs taped for over six months now, and NOT ONE of them has budged, even the one at the back door where two adults, three children, one dog, and three cats tromp in and out all day. I vacuum the rugs. They don't move. It's a miracle.
I keep another family's children after school. They have hardwood floors and rugs. And all the rugs move. I nearly fell one day when I got up off the toilet and the bathroom rug slipped. So I took a roll of my rug tape to that mom and told her to use it. Voila, problem solved. NO more slipping in the bathroom.
This tape is also safe to pull up even after many months of use. I taped down a rug in our RV (on carpet, mind you) and pulled it up six months later to clean (yes, it will pull up with a lot of force). The tape left ABSOLUTELY no residue or marks on either the underlying carpet or the rug. I was amazed. I didn't put that rug back in the RV, but I am convinced that if I had, it would've stuck just as long as I'd have wanted it to.
Usage tip: Don't be stingy. Use enough of the tape. I usually do stripes down the back of the rug about two inches apart. That uses a lot, but it's worth it.
Summary: If you've been fighting your <expletive> rugs, get some of this tape!!
