This lamp proved to be rather disappointing. I ended up not using it where I had originally planned. Although nothing was mentioned in the description I assumed it would take more than a 60 watt bulb but it does not. THE SOCKET ASSEMBLY & BASE LOOKED BLACK INSTEAD OF BRONZE. THERE WAS A LOT OF CORD BETWEEN THE BASE AND THE SOCKET ASSEMBLY AND IT WOULD NOT GO DOWN INTO THE BASE OR UP INTO THE SOCKET ASSEMBLY. I EXPECTED A LOT BETTER THAN THIS.
