If your tired of clumsy oven mittens or pot holders that have no feel to them and wear out, then you'll appreciate these heat-resistant gloves. Aside from their fireproof qualities, the best thing about them is that they are 5-fingered, fit either hand, and stretch to conform a man's hand size. You'll never lose your grip on a dish or tray, or have the end of a typical mitt/pot holder dip into your food and pick up stains. If this glove does accidentally pick up stains it can be washed. The only caution I have is that due to the open mesh weave, steam can penetrate the glove, which can be felt by the user but has not resulted in any burns. I would recommend ordering 2 gloves (I did) for use on large roasting pans or other heavy cookware. In summary, this is the best heat resistant protection I have ever used--it should last a lifetime.Customer Review: Fantastic

I prefer using the Ove-Glove over any hot pad or silicone grabber I've tried. Why? Because, being a glove, it allows me get a good natural grip on hot casseroles and pans, the silicone strips give just enough "cling" to glass baking dishes to make them slip proof and my entire hand is protected. I can't tell you how many times I've reached into a hot oven with regular hot pads only to burn the top of my hand or wrist as I bumped my hand on the oven rack or door. Ouch! Not with these babies. If you think they're expensive, just think what you'll save on Neosporin and band-aids!
I highly recommend buying the pair set of gloves over the single glove--even if you only use one at a time, if you get the glove wet while cooking it loses it's heat resistance until it dries out--you'll want a backup glove.

Yes, it protects your hands from even the most intense heat, and it can be popped in your washing machine if it gets dirty -- but this is a great pot holder because it also allows you to really grip casserole and baking dishes, unlike old-fashioned mitts and the silicone square pot holders I had been using (the latter are now permanent trivets.)
These are really durable (if you don't put in the dryer) and they somehow conform to a variety of hand sizes.
I'd previously said the glove had no loop for hanging, but that's not correct -- it's tucked in there, next to the tag label. So, no downside to these essential tools. Buy two and invest in a lifetime of safe oven use.

The items were ordered on Dec. 16 with delivery schedule by Dec. 24. Product finally received on January 15th after note was sent to Amazon that product had not been received. I did not received acknowledgment that Amazon was working on the problem which led me to refuse payment on my credit card two weeks later. The items finally were delivered without notice or apology for the inconvenience. Customer satisfaction not only pertains to quality of the product. Customer communication is also important allowing a flow of information to eliminate confusion and frustration. I gave my wife and daughter each one glove for Christmas. They loved them!! Daughter gave mom her glove as they thought two would be better so I ordered daughter a belated present of a pair. Now both are happy!
The gloves are wonderful. My wife was always burning herself with hot stuff and this has made her life safer and burn free!
Last night I used them to remove a pizza from a 425 degree oven. I actually grabbed onto the oven rack and pulled it out and never felt a thing. Amazing!
Terrific item for gifts or just to make the kitchen a safer place!
