Tools and Hardware Reviews of Arrow Fastener ET200 Heavy Duty Electric Nail GunCustomer Review: Arrow ET200 - JUNK Summary: 1 StarsI bought this item - the most expensive version sold by Lowes - thinking it would surely work best and have no troubles. I foolishly banked on the Arrow name. The gun fired three 1" brads then did absolutely nothing. Only one of the three brads penetrated the plastic baseboard and drywall into a pine 2X4. I was sure that I was the problem, but the instruction manual had no trouble-shooting section and gave no hints.
I didn't have time to fool with this thing, so drove 65 mile to Lowes (again) and exchanged it for another one. Same model - same result. It fired three (3) brads then NOTHING. Still sure it must be my fault I turned to internet reviews only to find that this experience is common and the tool is JUNK.
Tomorrow I will drive 65 miles to Lowes (3rd time) and return it, but I won 't get cash back because it takes Lowes 2 weeks to figure out if my originak check was good - even though I spent $6000. dollars there in the last 2 months.
Customer Review: Husband really likes this! Summary: 4 StarsI bought this for my husband after he saw it in a magazine. He hasn't used it alot but says it will do the job for anything he wants to use it for.
Customer Review: Avoid This Nail Gun Summary: 1 StarsIf you want to spend your weekend basking in endless frustration, then this is the product for you. Otherwise, I would recommend that you avoid the ET200 electric nail gun.
Like most here, I needed to put up molding (base and crown), did not own a compressor, and didn't want to damage the molding by hammering manually. This seemed like the perfect item...until I used it. I shot a total of 5 nails - each went in half way and one actually jammed the "jam free" mechanism.
The model that I had was the version 2, which some claim is more powerful. If this was the high powered version, I can only guess that with version 1 the nails just fell out the front.
After this wonderful experience, I packed it all back up and returned it to the store. For a little bit more, I found a Porter Cable nail gun, "pancake" compressor, and hose kit (that even came with nails!). It was a great deal and I did the whole job in less than 1 hour - a highly recommended joy to use and worth every extra penny (model: CFBN125B)
Customer Review: Fastener Unsuited for Purchase Summary: 1 StarsI purchased this product to apply 1/4 inch pine wainscot boards. It could not fully shoot a 1-inch brad through the pine board into the backing materials. I had to finish each brad by hand with a hammer and nail set.
Now the real reason to avoid this fastener--it's a piece of junk. The unit failed after shooting the 19th brad. It was totally inoperable after less than 15 minutes of use. It's dead. It's going back to Lowe's for a cash refund.
Customer Review: Better than the 100 Summary: 3 StarsIt drives brads into most woods but you still have to have a hammer and nail set to finish the job. Using both hand as shown in the literature helped. I used it on baseboard and door frame. If you have an air driven nail gun, which I don't, don't buy unless there is no electricity where you are going to use this gun
