Customer Review: Better than paying $180 for a plumbing company
Summary: 5 Stars

Roebic Foaming Root Killer is by far the best product I have used! I had two plumbing companies come out and snake out the roots in my sewer with a total of over $300 invested in that in a matter of a month the one plumber said to try (Roebic Foaming Root Killer) I went out the next day bought a pound of this and poured it in at the sewer cap and followed it up with a 3/4 bucket of water capped off the sewer and flushed the toilet left it over night to set without using any water. I did this for two months straight one application a month and had no issues after doing this. This was last year in June I stopped doing the applications and now in February we are having issues once again so I couldn't find Roebic around the store that I bought it from in the past so I went on Amazon and bought it came in and just put the first application in last night I must say this is not a instant cure the roots need to break off and float away a few applications will be needed pending on how bad yours is.

My next move is renting a root cutter and do it myself to clean up the mess and keep applying the applications like I said before this beats spending $180 for a company or even at that digging up your sewer pipe and spending well over $2,000.

Give it a try in a few applications you should see a difference.

It's pricey but look at it like this you pay $25 per bottle that is $300 a year you could be paying up to or over $180 for one service from your local plumber it sells it self.

Customer Review: WOW... it WORKS!
Summary: 5 Stars

I live in an old house, and suddenly started experiencing sewer line problems. My toilet would bubble when I showered, and my clothes washer started overflowing the stand pipe when it drained. I feared I'd have to call out an expensive plumber or roto-rooter service, but saw this stuff, and all the good reviews, so decided to give it a shot. I figured... maybe I can save myself some money. I am, however, the world's biggest skeptic, so I didn't really believe it would work. I bought two of the 12-quart sized bottles. I put the first one in the toilet, flushed it 3 times, and went to bed. By the next day, my toilet wasn't bubbling when I showered. I thought... nah... too good to be true. Must be a coincidence. The second day, still no bubbling from the toilet. So I put in the second jar for good measure. Today, four days after putting in the first jar, I tried a load of laundry, totally expecting the usual flooding overflow, but my washer drained three times, PERFECTLY!
I'm telling you... it's worth a $35-40 investment to try a couple jars of this stuff. I saved myself about $1000 in plumbing/roto-rooter charges, and you can bet I'll be putting it in my pipes a few times a year as preventive maintenance!

Customer Review: It really works!!!

We started having major problems with our plumbing about 2 months ago, with sinks, tub, and toilets backing up. After having the line scoped, they said it was full of roots, and that we'd have to replace the pipes. All well and good, except we're renters with lousy landlords who only reimburse us for repairs, and we couldn't afford this. So, we tried this product. I followed the advice of a few people on here and mashed it up when I got it. It was difficult to get out of the container, but that wasn't a big issue to me. I did something wrong, and overflowed my toilet, but not too bad. The end result is what I'm concerned with, and it's brilliant. A week later,FINALLY, no more backups, sewage smell, or gurgling toilets! Everything is working better than when we first moved in. We plan on doing this regularly to keep the pipes clear, and feel that this has been a God send for our situation. I highly recommend it. Also, found out it can be used to keep unwanted roots from popping up through the ground, so we're finally going to be able to fix our patio as well. Yay!

Customer Review: It Flat out Works
Summary: 5 Stars

Seven years ago our main sewer line started backing up into the house. I rented a plumber's snake and routed the line. When I removed the snake, the cutting blade was filled with small tree roots. After researching "root killer systems" I tried Roebic. I have been using it once a year since with no recurrent sewerline problems. It works wonderfully. As has been stated elsewhere, the product tends to clump in the package over time (I buy mine a year in advance). Don't try to empty this clumped product directly from the package into the toilet or it can overflow. I dump it into an old coffee can or pail and use an old fashioned mashed potato masher to break up the clumps and then dump it into the toilet from the larger container. Also, do not stand there and watch it work or you will watch it overflow. Flush immediately after pouring the entire contents into the toilet. Wait a few seconds after toilet refills and then flush again. Try to do this at night before bed time or before you go out for the day to let the product work as undesturbed as possible for several hours.

Customer Review: Great results over a 4-year span
Summary: 5 Stars

After our sewer line backed up in 2005, I used this every autumn for four years and had no problems. Last year I forgot to apply it, and sure enough we had a small backup this spring when the roots invaded again. I probably could have spared an expensive snake-out this year had I kept on schedule. Our 1925 house has a clay sewer line which has developed many small cracks over the years: the perfect entry points for small, thin roots seeking water. The foaming action is key, as the product fills the diameter of the pipe and kills the roots coming down from above. Per other reviews I've had a few bottles with 'clumped' product, so it's important to first empty the killer into another dry container and break it apart with something like a chopstick if necessary.
