I just did not have sufficient space in the electric box to fit the protrusion form the rear of this thermostat with the heavy wires and all.
went with an aube model and it works great.

The product is probably wonderful, however, I had my first negative experience with Amazon. I ordered 3 thermostats and they arrived promptly. One thermostat's package looked previously opened, sure enough, it had been used and then returned. The wires were cut and parts missing. The second thermostats package not only had been opened but there were written notes in the directions! I returned them for a full refund, which they granted. Other than that, Amazon is great!Customer Review: Maybe just unlucky...

I purchased 5 of these locally last fall and had to return 3 as defective...tempeture off by 4 to 11 degrees or didn't come on within 2 months of operation. I thought I would try this older model and see if they are any better.
