Tools and Hardware Reviews of Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Residential Series 1300-Watt Garment SteamerCustomer Review: Fantastic Steamer Summary: 5 Stars
Used for professional use for Tommy Bahama steaming about 40 to 50 garments a day with mostly linen fabrics.
The pro trick: use a leather glove inside out to be able to put your hand inside garment to press the wand into the fabric. Otherwise it won't really steam that well.
Easy to fill bottle.
Extremely quick time to full steam.
Adjustable hanger is convenient
A little tippy if your pulling on the hose to much. (it happens)
gets wrinkles out of the hardest linen creases.
cotton fabrics are instant decreasing
no iron burn marks
very quick to from start to garment finish (ex. your late to work)
If you don't get a leather glove you will get only 10% of the effectiveness. simply waving the wand around the garment does little. plus you will burn yourself time and again. Trust me on this one.
Customer Review: Mother in law approved! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this device for my mother in law after she saw and used at my house. I love this product and it does what it is meant to do - steam! This company just manufactures steamers and does it exceptionally well since 1940. It even use the steamer to unclog my stuffy nose in the winter time. I'm looking to upgrade the unit with the various accessories from jiffy.
Pro- less than 1 minute start up time
- easy installation
- low maintenance (just don't let the water run out of tank)
- great for fabric that you can't put iron onto (indian sari's, anything with ornament based dressing)
- portable
Con- don't steam in underwear as hose gets hot (do i have to paint a picture ;) )
- too many people want to borrow it

Customer Review: Worthwhile Purchase Summary: 5 Stars
After figuring out that I must be spending in excess of $1000 yearly to have my husband's oxford shirts cleaned and pressed, I decided to cut my losses and purchase a Jiffy steamer.
I am happy with the purchase, so much so that I routinely steam garments that I would not have ironed in the past (t-shirts especially come out looking store-bought new), and it takes very little time.
I have used the steamer on prom dresses with great success.
I am able to press a knife-edged crease in dress pants of all types of material.
I think the best thing about this appliance is that I feel I am damaging our clothing LESS than if I were using an iron.
Don't throw away your iron, however! I must still use it to finish off the collars and shoulders of my husband's work shirts.
Customer Review: Excellent!! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had the Jiffy J-2000 steamer for about 3 months now and love it. I initially had some trouble with steaming my thumbs (ouch!), but have learned how to maneuver better since then. I wouldn't recommend children use this product due to the potential for serious burns (but that is a great testament to how powerful this thing steams!). It is fantastic for ironing my husbands business shirts. Before, I dreaded this until I had about 20 shirts lined up, needing to be ironed. I've wasted many Saturdays at the ironing board. I can now have a beautiful, completely wrinkle-free shirt in about 2 minutes (I've timed myself!). It does take a little practice to learn how to stabilize the clothes while steaming (they try to run away from you), but it has been an excellent purchase for me.
Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to do!~ Summary: 5 Stars
My wife tends to leave my laundry in the dryer, so when it comes to me, it's chock full of wrinkles. Rather than doing the laundry myself, I got this steamer to be able to quickly steam whatever I want to wear pretty quick...I mean "man-quick" as we don't like to do anything for more than a minute or two.
So--Gentlemen: This is a pretty straight forward machine. Steamer, tank, and wand. On/off button. No frills other than the tank has a stop leak fill cap. Holds about a gallon of distilled water.
Turns on and is ready to go within a minute. Steams a shirt in about minute or two. Will steam curtains in about 5 minutes. I hung them, so I figured I'd steam them for her!~
Pretty darn good...Does what it's supposed to do!~
