Tools and Hardware Reviews of Jiffy Steamer J-2000 Residential Series 1300-Watt Garment Steamer

Customer Review: Awesome steamer!
Summary: 5 Stars

I helped my dad pick out a steamer for my mom for christmas. I had been using a toby steamer at my boyfriends and LOVED the convenience of steaming. We received the steamer ahead of schedule just in time for christmas. Let me tell you, you can tell a huge difference in the quality of this steamer. All of the components are sturdy, (ex. brass nuts, heavy duty hose) This brand is made in U.S.A. and is superior quality. It is tested before its packaged so you know it works. This steamer produces steam within a minute and it continuously flows without sputtering water. My mom is really excited about it (she doesn't get excited over much, so what a success!) This steamer puts the Toby to shame, love this steamer, and love that I can support an American made product!

Customer Review: It will take the wrinkles out of grandma!
Summary: 5 Stars

Just joking about grandma... But I have a few shirts that are just as wrinkled. The Jiffy steamer works great on them. You know the shirt that you love to wear but because it requires ironing everytime, you just don't feel like it's worth the effort. Not any more! It really is easier and fool proof. I almost didn't buy a steamer because someones review said it was "not for the professional". I don't iron, so i guess thats me. What I get is a shirt that looks wrinkle free. If you need starch and razor sharp creases than an iron is what you need. I have never been fond of starch. Packing a starched shirt only sets the wrinkles and who likes the dermabrasion you get from wearing cardboard. It's cloth! Not wood!

Customer Review: I Haven't Ironed Since I Bought This
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a $120 Rowenta iron, but decided to purchase this steamer to see if it worked as well as ironing. It is very well made and works great. I also purchased the steamboard and what a winning combo. The steamer and board enable me to get great creases in all of my shirts and pants. I haven't used that expensive iron since I got this steamer. It is actually fun. All of the clothes in my closet used to need ironing before I wore them, but because steaming with this is so much fun and quicker, I now steam everything before it goes in my closet. Now all of my clothes are ready to wear. Very good investment and would highly recommend. I am also purchasing the travel steamer to use on business trips.

Customer Review: Steams well, reliable over time
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had my steamer for more than a year now. It works reliably, heats up quickly, and does a great job for most fabrics. Very thick woven fabrics may need several "swipes" and I do find (as others have) that thick collars and pockets require more work. I did experience a "kink" and the manufacturer gladly fixed it by replacing the hose and adding a reinforcing "spring" over the vulnerable portion. It has worked superbly ever since--there was no charge for the repair. Highly recommend this steamer--learned about it from a busy consignment store that has nicely "steam-ironed" clothing on display, very professional appearance. They use it several hours daily, and highly recommended it.

Customer Review: I am IN LOVE!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have wanted a steamer for years....and finally justified the cost because our daughter is getting married and I can use it on her dress as well as the rest of the bridal party, saving pressing costs. After a lot of shopping here on Amazon, I went with the Jiffy as the company has been in the business for many years. I was not disappointed. I had it assembled and running in less than 5 minutes. It is well made, sturdy, and easy to roll around.A few days ago, I cleaned up my entire ironing backlog. Once you get the technique down it is truly a snap. I was able to use it on my husband's shirts and pants, which I expected would be hard with the steamer. But they weren't.
