What a great purchase! I've had mine for several months now. This is a great little steamer. Solid construction. Easy to use. I'm new to steaming and I had no idea how effective it is. It's perfect for those relaxed fabrics, just wave the wand over it a few times and all the wrinkles are gone. The permanent press type stuff, like dress pants and dress shirts are a little more trickey, but still way easier than ironing. If you want a crease, put it on your ironing board and use it like an iron. It's very effective at removing odors, even smoke. It's also great for furniture, drapes, sanitize your mattress, pillows, etc. Watch your fingers though, that steam is HOT!Customer Review: Outstanding!! (Even if it IS an iron:-) )

Ok, I HATE to iron and will avoid it at all costs, but this Jiffy Steamer J-2000 does have me looking more put together AND, I don't dread the whole ironing action quite so much! It's quick-heats up in seconds, (literally) doesn't 'spit' out water like most steam irons do, and in the time it takes to iron a blouse or even a cotton sweater, my hubby's still touching up his shirt (I say, 'touching up,' because I send his shirts out to the cleaners, but being a former Marine, he's really picky and is always 'fixing' his clothes!) and I could do three more shirts/sweaters-but lets face it...I ain't gonna! Well worth the moola and takes up less space than an ironing board....Customer Review: Works great!

This product works great. Now let me explain my situation. My wife's and my idea of ironing something is throwing it the dryer, warming it up , and shaking the wrinkles out. We HATE ironing. Some say this doesn't replace an iron, but if one never existed (like in my case), it's all you need. It's ready to use in a few minutes and works very quickly. I would recommend buying the board you can get as an option as it would make it easier to use. I am going to purchase it soon. My wife wears scrubs everyday and I wear slacks and polos, we are now wrinkle free thanks to this product. It takes less than two minutes to steam my slacks. I've had this steamer for about 3 years, and I still like it. I got one for my daughter & son-in-law because he perspires a lot and both of their suits often get stuffed into suitcases. The drycleaning bill was out of hand. I think he likes it because it's a "machine", so it's acceptable for a macho guy to use. If you buy clothes at garage sales or on line, a steamer can freshen and sanitize many of them, use it inside and out. The tip about using a leather glove on the hand you have inside the garment is essential. I didn't get the extra board, but I often wish I had. No, it's not an iron and it doesn't claim to be, but it will take out most wrinkles.Customer Review: If you hate ironing, this one is for you....

I originally was going to purchase another steamer but upon reading the reviews, am I ever glad I didn't. It was more expensive and not good quality. Then I checked out this one that had SO MANY positive responses and WOW - they weren't kidding. I love this machine. I can whip through my ironing in no time. It takes no time to catch on (hang up your shirts - put the wand on the inside of the shirt, hold the bottom of the shirt as you wand down the shirt and WRINKLES DISAPPEAR LIKE MAGIC). It's that easy. I've even got my husband doing his shirts. Seems like I've usually got a hundred things going on at any given time so this was a huge TIMESAVER for me.
