Love this. Used at family gatherings and everone wants to play with it. Great for getting the attention of 100!
Customer Review: A lot of sound for not a lot of price Summary: 4 Stars
I got my Mega Mite back in 2003 and I've been enjoying it ever since.
The sturdy construction is durable enough to withstand the occasional butterfingers drop and the sound is loud enough to be heard a block away, or to allow conversation at a crowded restaurant (be aware that some restaurants do not allow megaphones even though there is no sign on the door letting you know that!)
This megaphone does have a couple drawbacks. First, if you turn the volume all the way up it can sometimes catch a squealing reverb. Second, the off position is in the middle of a sliding switch, and sometimes in your haste to turn off the megaphone you can go from Voice to Siren, which is very annoying and can make you feel stupid. Also be aware that the megaphone is not as large as what you see in police movies.
But if you want a cheap megaphone for fun with the kids or just to talk to your deaf grandpa, definitely pick up the Mega Mite!
Customer Review: Little megaphone, big sound.... Summary: 4 Stars
I used this mega-phone on a trip with 65 freshmen in a NYC public school. Suffice it to say, it was louder than the students and worked wonderfully.
It is small, compact and does the job. I am not a tall guy, but I can easily palm the unit without having to extend the handle bar.
I would not use it for coaching a large-scale a football game or something like that... But if you don't think you need to spend $70 on a mega-phone, but still need a megaphone, this is what you need!
Would be nice if it came with a case or some other covering.
Customer Review: Inexpensive & works well Summary: 4 Stars
I bought one of these to use at our church pic-nic. We used it to organize kids for games. It worked quite well. It doesn't seem to be incredibly well made, but for the price, it works just fine. It does not have a trigger like some megaphones; it is either "on" or "off" with a slider for volume. It also does the 'squawking" noise thing if you want that feature. Overall I'm really pleased with it, and even if it doesn't last a very long time, I feel like we got our money's worth out of it.
Customer Review: Good Megaphone Summary: 4 Stars
