This little light is one of the handiest I have used. The flexible tripod legs and magnet feet make it possible to place almost anywhere.
It is on the pricey side, but seems well made so far.
I think they are using Neodymium Iron Boron Magnets in the feet because they hold so well. Neodymium magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnet.
This is a clear sign that they are trying to put together a premium product.
If the extra dollars over the cost of a more basic light doesn't trouble you, I recommend this item.

I bought this light to use outdoors. It has exceeded my expectations. I took it caving not too long ago just to test it out. My headlamp which is a pretty good one was really not enough. I wrapped the legs of the Gorillatorch around my backpack strap and all of the sudden had more light than I knew what to do with. It is super bright and pure light. I can't wait to use it for other things as well. If the battery life lives up to expectations, this could be the best light ever! If only the headlamp companies would start using Cree LEDs in their products...Customer Review: Great little light

I'm very impressed with this little light. The magnetic feet are very strong so it will stick to any metal object without the fear of coming loose, even upside down.
The variable brightness is nice since you don't always need full strenghth and the batteries will certainly last longer when used at the lower levels.
If you need a very bright flood light, this isn't what you are looking for. But, if you need a small light that will hang, stick or stand just about anywhere, this is a pretty bright light for is size and should serve you well.

I bought this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. It is extremely bright, and the magnet is very strong. While it is brightest in the center, we find that there is still plenty of light around it, and the center beam is actually fairly large. We use it when we take late night walks since it is so much better than regular flashlights, and I think it will also be useful when he works on his car or is working in the basement for extra light as there is no problem getting it to stick to metal. This little flashlight is the extra hand that I needed when working on my car. When trying to drill a small hole, the area that I was trying to drill was dark and I could not see what progress that I was making. Because of the strong magnets on the feet of this flashlight, I was able to see perfectly and do a very nice job with the drill. The feet were covered with soft plastic which protected the paint on the fender of the car. The light is adjustable yet bright enough to provide good viewing. Very happy with this product!
