After reading the reviews about the bright spot in the middle I was hesitant to buy this. However, one person (somewhere in these reviews...) suggested using Press 'n Seal film over the lens as a diffuser and it works perfectly! Now I have the advantage of a bright focused beam when I want and a more even light the rest of the time. The magnets on the feet are strong, the legs are bendable- this is a very handy tool!Customer Review: Priceless.

I have literally used this light every work day since I received it. It's brighter than any flashlight I've ever owned, the battery life is amazing, and I have yet to find myself in a position where I can't secure the light in a convenient and helpful spot. Plus you can use it just like a regular flashlight by bending the 3 legs together to make a handle. It's a very bright focused beam of light.
Exactly what I was looking for.
The components and engineering is good.
Not subpar or cheap feeling.
I can find many applications for the light its ability to stick to metal and grasp around objects wins me along with the super bright focused light.
Doesn't use your traditional led component. Certainly more advanced and newer tech.

The Joby Gorillatorch is one of those very handy items that come along, once in a while. Its design was well thought out, with its flexibility, size, the magnets on the bottoms of the "legs" and its 'perfect brilliance' light. It is definitely a "keeper" and we are giving one to my son-in-law, for his birthday. What a light. This thing is bright! The legs make it easy to attach to any surface. The magnets on the feet are strong enough to hold it to any metal surface. Right now it is sitting on a shelf waiting for use. It looks like a little 3-legged creature ready to help you with any job in a dimly lit area.
