Tools and Hardware Reviews of Honeywell HT-900C Tabletop Air-Circulator Fan, Black

Customer Review: A Great Little Fan
Summary: 5 Stars

The Honeywell HT-900C is compact, light, portable, affordable and effective. With blades that are about 9 inches in size (which I guess is what the HT-900C designation means), this fan is easy to move around and projects a breeze that can be felt across a good-sized room, even at the lowest of its three speeds. It's advertised as being "25% quieter" and I believe that it is quieter than a similar fan that I had several years ago. I have mine sitting on the floor in the doorway about 10 feet away from me. If I had it on my desk then I would have papers flying everywhere and the draft would most likely be uncomfortable. As I rotate the fan through different angles I can hear and feel clicks as it goes through different locking positions, so having the fan slip out of a position that I have set is not a problem. I live in an older building that does not have air conditioning, so the fan is a life-saver. It is definitely worth the price. I highly recommend it.

Customer Review: Maybe quality is better this year?
Summary: 5 Stars

This fan stays in the lowest position unlike other reviews which state otherwise. It blows quite a bit of air and is an awesome personal fan. I wouldn't recommend it to fan a whole room, but as a desk fan or a bedside fan it is awesome. It is quiet. My computer power supply is louder than this fan at top speed. I am impressed and will be ordering another one for my husband's desk and probably a couple to mount on the wall above beds in our house. These are perfect, and with a price of only $16 shipped, you can get two of these for the price of one of the HT800 models. If the HT800 model is that much better, than go for it. But I think this HT-900C is perfectly fine for anyone needing a tabletop fan, and its price just furthers that argument.

Customer Review: Great quiet fan!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have purchased several different Honeywell fans in the past. All about the same size but with different product numbers. The Honeywell HT-900C is my most recent purchase. I got 2 of them. The breeze is similar to the others but they are by far the quietest. I was always turning the other fans off because they were too loud. Now I have both of them on and I can only hear one.

I am also very happy that the front comes off for cleaning. I have pets and their hair and dander gets in the fans because I keep the fans on the floor. I was always very frustrated trying to clean the fans. I am so glad that it will be easier to take care of them in the future.

Customer Review: GREAT fan to leave under your desk
Summary: 5 Stars

I work in an office that gets very warm, and bought this fan. I put it under my desk and run it pretty much whenever I'm here. This fan does what I want almost perfectly, and it's practically silent.

- It is very quiet, even on its highest speed.
- It moves a good amount of air, *for a personal fan*.
- I have a small amount of trouble getting the vertical angle just right as others have mentioned, but it works well enough.

This isn't the fan I'd leave in the corner of a room to generate a breeze. For that I'd go to a higher capacity fan (preferably a Vornado). But if you're looking for a quiet fan to keep next to you, this is your fan.

Customer Review: Great little fan.
Summary: 5 Stars

Purchased one of these little guys because I require white noise to sleep well. This fan is perfect, not to quiet not to loud and for its size it moves a lot of air. It has just now died after almost SIX YEARs of faithful service. Assuming I go to sleep on time this little guy worked faithfully four at least 50,000 hours. I did take twenty or so minutes once a year to remove the grill (quite easily mind you) and clean the fan thoroughly as well as drop a little 3 in 1 oil into the bearing. I already ordered another for another six years!
