The Kidde 25-foot escape ladder provides a way to escape fires or other emergencies and offers your family an essential piece of safety equipment if you live in a two- or three-story home. The National Fire Protection Association recommends one ladder in every occupied room on floors above the main level. This durable ladder stores conveniently under the bed or near a window and deploys quickly and easily. It will support a maximum weight of 1,000 pounds when the load is distributed on more than one rung, while the maximum weight for each rung is 750 pounds. The metal rung steps prevent slippage to ensure a safe climb down, and its tangle-free design makes for easy packing and repacking. Customer Review: Hope to never use it
Summary: 4 Stars
This emergency escape ladder appears well built and able to do its job -- I just hope it never has to. Compact and relatively light-weight for something that will extend three-stories. Fits easily into the corner of our bedroom. Did not give it five stars as I have not seen it in action (it's a one-time use product) and it did not come with any kind of storage mount/bracket system.
