I'm reviewing the Kidde 900-0146-004 Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Alarm. This unit was incredibly easy to set up straight out of the box. It's also easy to hang. And for those that do no wish to hang it up on a wall, it has a small "kick stand" in the back that enables it to stand by itself on a shelf. The unit is simple to use and has an LED that is easy to read. I'm very happy with this purchase.Customer Review: A must-have for older homes

This is a very useful tool. I live in an 50-year old house and sometimes I fear that there might be a gas leakage somewhere. The first day, a cold winter day and all the windows and doors were closed all day long while the heater was on, it showed a peak value of 24, which means that at one point there was a bit of CO floating around but within safety limits, and the unit was likely functional.Customer Review: KN-COPP-B Carbon Monoxide Alarm

This replaced my old First Alert Alarm. I liked this one mainly because the old one I had did not offer the digital display and also I can replace the batteries from the front without taking it off it's mount but with the First Alert I had to in order to replace the battery. Shipping from Amazon only took five days using there free shipping. Using this item since March 14, 2009.Customer Review: A must have.

We live in an older house and while doing renovations we added a hot-wired fire alarm (required by Code). I thought we would add to our peace of mind by adding tis Carbon Monoxide monitor to make sure our gas-fueled furnace and boiler are not putting our family in danger.
The Kidde Alarm is your basic monitor, easy to set up and not too objectionable in appearance.

I bought this as a replacement for another Kidde alarm,which we had for ten years .We felt it was time for a new one. We reviewed several other makes and this one came up with the best rating and user confidence. It turned out it was the same model we had previously. Iam sold on the product.
We also find shopping at Amazon is easy and saves us time and money.
