This is an excellent product.
I purchased it because it is strictly battery operated and I was familiar with this companies products as I had installed one of their CO detectors in my former house. This is a turn-key product out of the package, as mounting materials and batteries are included with the unit.

This Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm is great. Nice style and simple to install and use. The digital display is easy to read because it is backlit. Test/Reset button is easy to locate. The front load battery is the best, no more having to pull the unit to change batteries.

This is a good quality CO detector at a reasonable price. I like the LED indicator on the front. This feature displays the level of CO in the room rather than just sounding an alarm at a certain level. Product was easy to install, and tells us that we have no CO in our house. Instructions indicated useful life of device. I have found no practical way to supply CO to test its sensitivity, so won't know for sure that it will do what I want until we have a potentially fatal problem.Customer Review: Works!

The product is simple.
Works on batteries, so you can take it everywhere you go. Especially to those log cabins on vacations - a family recently died in Colorado, when the vacation home filed with CO gas: The reason that I decided that I neeeded to get one for my family.
