I bought this product in July of 2009. It is still mounted on the wall and appears to be working well so far. We've had no fires, and no one has passed out from carbon monoxide poisoning. Every time I hit the test button it gives out both the smoke and carbon monoxide warnings which I hope never to hear, quite loudly and clearly, in serious circumstances. It seems to be an excellent unit.
