Customer Review: Worked Just Fine... with a bit of thought

Definitely worth investing in if you really need to use an air mattress for an expected guest.
PROS: The frame was wonderful for getting the air mattress off the floor! It was easy to unfold, easy to refold AND easy to put back in it's carry/storage bag even after being stretched out and used for several days. My guest did not complain of sagging. I used a standard Coleman brand queen air mattress - nothing special.
CONS: My air mattress did not fit snug inside the nylon zip up sleeve; in fact it fit rather poorly and didn't really do anything but cover the air mattress. BUT, with a bit of "ingenuity" it worked out. Keep reading...
INGENUITY: First, I slid the air mattress inside the nylon sleeve, which did nothing and I could have just laid the mattress on top of the frame in retrospect. Then I padded my not so special air bed top with some egg carton style foam and 2 layers of fleece throws to get rid of the feeling that you are sleeping on vinyl with big dimples in it. Next I put on a fitted sheet. Then I PINNED the fitted sheet down with extra large pins (diaper pin size) to the frame on all 4 corners and middle of sides (8 pins). DO NOT PIN MATTRESS! Now that the mattress was secure, I dressed it with the usual flat sheet, comforter and pillow.
The pinning and padding took a bit of time to do so this is not something that I would recommend using for the unexpected guest unless of course your mattress really does fit snug inside the nylon sleeve.
